Illinois Brews at Bowes
Every summer, the Elgin Parks and Recreation Foundation hosts a lively beer fest to benefit the Recreation Youth Scholarship Fund. Bowes Creek Country Club provides a beautiful backdrop for this fun-filled family event, featuring beer tasting, live music, and raffles. All proceeds provide recreation scholarships for at-risk youth.
Elgin Parks Golden Memories
In partnership with the Elgin History Museum, the Elgin Parks & Recreation Foundation sponsors an annual event to educate our community about the historical significance of our beautiful parks. We gather at the Hawthorne Hill Nature Center to enjoy presentations and discussions about a different park each year.
