Recreation Youth Scholarship Fund

The Elgin Parks & Recreation Foundation provides the space and opportunity for hundreds of young people to experience the security, affirmation, and confidence that comes with being accepted in a safe and productive environment.
How it works
Qualifying Elgin youth can apply for a $125 credit to use toward any City of Elgin recreation program. This credit often covers more than one program fee, which means our players get even more time to exercise, build healthy relationships, and develop practical skills. These opportunities promote health, appreciation of the outdoors, and leadership among our community’s at-risk youth.
Between 2013 and 2019, an average of 621 kids received a credit from the Recreation Youth Scholarship Fund.
